Giving Back to the Community
At Buck Fever, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. Our mission goes beyond hosting a family-friendly event—it’s about fostering a love for the outdoors, educating future generations, and bringing people together in a shared passion for conservation and wildlife.
Each year, we dedicate our efforts to supporting local initiatives that promote outdoor education, youth involvement, and conservation awareness. Through partnerships, scholarships, and hands-on experiences, we ensure that our community has the resources and opportunities to engage with and appreciate the great outdoors.
Our Mission
To provide a family friendly event for our community that promotes outdoor educational programs and offers an exhibit of previous year’s trophy bucks for both young and old to enter and enjoy.
Our Goal
Our goal is to raise money through Buck Fever events which allow us to support various outdoor youth related organizations and activities of Seguin, Guadalupe County, and beyond. We thrive to provide education and awareness in protecting, preserving, and enjoying all wildlife, fish, and the native resources God has provided all of us; and to promote outdoor activities.
Our History
Buck Fever Event began in 1985 when a group of local hunters from Seguin, Texas wanted to showcase their trophies, tell their hunting stories, and invite others in the community to do the same.
Because of their love of the outdoors, these men also envisioned an event in which everyone attending, especially the youth, could be educated about the outdoors, and hopefully develop a passion of exploring the outdoors with photography, hiking, hunting, fishing, czmping, and more.
Over the years, the Buck Fever Event has grown and expanded into a multi-generational family event that kicks off each hunting season with great enthusiasm.
As well, Buck Fever now hosts a Casino Night each spring to raise additional revenue giving us the opportunity to support even more youth related organizations.
